As my final project in CIS 1410 Web Design, I will be building another website in an additional subdirectory, to showcase what we have been practicing so far, in the 2023 fall semester. It has been a fantastic class!!
I am really thankful to have such a great professor and instructor, great content alone is one thing and content presentation within the course is entirely another.
This site will be a user supplied historical online museum, where anyone could view collector and vintage snowboards and become a member to leave commentary or potentially even add more photos to the websites galleries for all members to see.
Boards | Snowboarding Forum – Snowboard Enthusiast Forums Has some great topics that are blogged about. But nothing specifically to collector or vintage gear.
Home – Retro Snow – Vintage Snowboard Museum this is perfect, other than the fact that it is primarily only one brand.
Vintage Snowboards – VintageWinter Is also a very interesting website, however I am more thinking of a website aimed at just the history side not so much the sales.
I envision a website where users can make an account to post and display pictures of vintage, or collector snowboards. Also, to have a section where the users can the stories of how they won or what shop they bought it from, whatever sort of memorable thing that keeps them holding on to that snowboard.
Maybe someday to be able to facilitate trades between the users, however that is a skeptical subject. I would not want to create a website that would be liable for any sort of unethical business trades, even if it was two separate parties.
Snowboarders will be my primary focus for a target audience. Beginners that are learning the history, and the old heads who have been around from the beginning to teach their perspectives.
I have decided on a triadic color scheme based off a flat shade of white appearing almost like snow.
